Five More Contingency Awards For J.P. Morgan

Mooresville, N.C. — J.P. Morgan added more contingency awards to his 2012 collection last Sunday’s during the Dean Custom Air 250 presented by Carrier and ESPN The Team 100.3 at Myrtle Beach Speedway.
The dominant force in the Rev-Oil Pro Cup Series so far this season, Morgan looked like he might finally be dethroned when he faded through the field late in the first half of the 225-lap event.
Lucky for him there was a half way break on the horizon.
Morgan and the J&R Racing team went to work to correct the problems with the setup of Morgan’s No. 23 Chevrolet and when the second half of the race started, Morgan looked like he had been shot out of a gun. He rocketed back to the front of the pack on lap 156 and led the rest of the way for his fourth-straight victory and fifth overall this season.
As a result of his performance Sunday at Myrtle Beach Speedway, Morgan earned the Brake of the Race Award presented by Pro-Systems Brakes. Morgan also earned the T&D Rocker Arms High Finisher Award, the Lap Leader Award presented by U-Pull, U-Save and product certificates from Cool Shirt and Brown & Miller.
Also earning contingency awards at Myrtle Beach Speedway on Sunday were Ryan Heavner (Koolmat Koolmove of the Race Award and Staubli Highest Finisher Award), Lucas Ransone (Halfway Leader Award presented by Holley and a Cool Shirt product certificate), Gus Dean (Cool Under Pressure Award presented by FLUIDYNE and Cool Shirt and Brown & Miller product certificates).
Kingsport Speedway Tickets On Sale Now: The next event on the Rev-Oil Pro Cup Series schedule is the Food Country USA 250 presented by MAHLE Motorsport, which is slated for Aug. 26 at Tennessee’s Kingsport Speedway. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting www.revoilprocup.com. Tickets are $12 online until Thursday, Aug. 23 and $15 at the track on the day of the event.
