Mooresville, N.C. — The CARS Pro Cup Series is proud to announce that Air Flow Research (AFR) has joined the series as title sponsor of the AFR Rookie of the Year Award as well as a contingency sponsor.
AFR, a cylinder head manufacturing company based in California, will present the top rookie in CARS Pro Cup Series competition with a $3,000 cash award following conclusion of the season. AFR decals will also appear on the side of all CARS Pro Cup Series entries this year as part of the CARS Pro Cup Series contingency program.
“We are thrilled to have AFR join the series as sponsor of not only the rookie of the year award, but also as a contingency sponsor,” said CARS Pro Cup Series Director Jack McNelly. “This will give our rookie drivers something to shoot for at the end of the season. We couldn’t be happier to have AFR as one of our partners and we look forward to a great relationship.”
The next event on the CARS Pro Cup Series schedule, the Catawba Valley 250 at North Carolina’s Hickory Motor Speedway, is scheduled for April 21. Tickets are available online at www.carsprocup.com for $12 through April 19 or $15 at the track on the day of the event. Children 11 and under are free.
